From backyard brews to Wild Dogs Brewing
Our adventure began when founders Craig and John, kindred spirits from a church small group, discovered a mutual passion for good beer. John, a seasoned homebrewer, and Craig would spend hours in John’s backyard, sharing brews and watching their 'wild dogs' — Layla and Brooklyn, who now grace our logo — frolic. This camaraderie sparked the dream of Wild Dogs Brewing.
Crafting community, one brew at a time
A few years into their friendship, the vision solidified: to open a brewery. John would master the brews, while Craig managed everything else. Craig's son, Cory, joining after his Navy service, learned the craft and helps run the taproom. Our goal was clear: create a welcoming space in Sanford, NC, where people could gather, relax, and savor beers that taste like beer, just as tradition intended.
